VUM 4 Database and OS Support Matrix

If you have read the VUM support Matrix, you might have noticed that some of the Databases and OS is not supported. Well the doc is not correct.

Here is a KB article that states the changes :

 

The following databases are now supported:
  • SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition 64bit SP2
  • SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition 32bit SP3
  • SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition 64bit SP3
  • SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition 32bit SP3
  • SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition 64bit SP3
  • SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition 32bit
  • SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition 64bit 
Operating System Compatibility for VMware vCenter Update Manager 4 Server
The following operating systems are now compatible:
  • Windows Server 2008 Enterprise
  • Windows Server 2008 Standard
  • Windows Server 2008 Datacenter
  • Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 64bit
  • Windows Server 2008 Standard 64bit
  • Windows Server 2008 Datacenter 64bit 

Note: The listed are in addition to the databases already listed in the vSphere Compatibility Matrixes.
